Dominic Koza

Dominic Koza is the founder, owner-operator, and relentless work ethic behind D&D Landscaping LLC. Built from the ground up, Dominic’s journey into full-service property transformation started long before he launched his business. As a kid, he took his first steps into the industry by going door-to-door in his neighborhood with a single-push lawn mower. When winter arrived, he rigged up his four-wheeler with a plow to clear neighbors' driveways. That early entrepreneurial drive, paired with a passion for working with his hands, laid the foundation for what D&D Landscaping LLC is today.

Dominic’s background is deeply rooted in the heavy craft trade and practical skills. Before turning D&D Landscaping LLC into a premier site-development powerhouse, he spent years honing his technical discipline as a welder and fabricator at his family-owned company. Working in metal fabrication taught Dominic structural integrity, precise measuring, and how to build components designed to withstand extreme stress and severe weather—skills that he translates directly into every hardscape, excavation, and structural outdoor project he manages.

Mastery in Tree Service, Hardscaping, and Site Excavation

Over the years, Dominic has built D&D Landscaping LLC into a versatile contracting firm specializing in tree care, hardscape construction, and earthmoving and excavation. As a skilled operator, Dominic handles everything from delicate residential grading to massive property clearings. His deep understanding of soil conditions, heavy equipment operation, and drainage dynamics ensures that every site is prepped accurately for long-term structural stability.

Dominic’s specialized trade knowledge shines brightest when tackling hazardous tree removals and custom hardscape installs. Safely taking down compromised or dangerously positioned trees requires exceptional precision, specialized rigging knowledge, and a calm focus under pressure. On the hardscaping side, Dominic transforms raw yards into functional outdoor living spaces, taking immense pride in executing complete pool patio installations that serve as beautiful, durable backdrops for family gatherings.

Around-the-Clock Work Ethic and Heavy Snow Management

Ask anyone who knows Dominic, and they will tell you he works around the clock. He thrives on high-intensity projects and demanding seasonal work that keeps him in the operator’s seat late into the night. That dedication was on full display this past winter, when Dominic logged crazy hours managing tons of snow removal for massive commercial parking garages and local properties, ensuring businesses remained safe and operational through severe winter weather.

For Dominic, being an owner-operator means leading from the front lines. He doesn't sit back behind a desk while his crew works; he is out on the job site operating the excavator, climbing trees, setting patio pavers, and running winter plow fleets himself. This hands-on commitment ensures that every detail of every project meets his unyielding personal standards for quality and safety.

Life Beyond the Job Site: Family Camping and Motorsports

Even with a work ethic that keeps him busy day and night, Dominic makes time for the hobbies and people he loves. When he isn't operating heavy machinery or fabricating custom equipment, Dominic enjoys unwinding outdoors by taking camping trips with his family. Spending quality time around the campfire offers a welcome balance to his fast-paced work schedule.

Dominic also carries a strong passion for motorsports, particularly race spoilers and performance automotive design. His fascination with high-speed aerodynamics and custom vehicle fabrication mirrors his overall love for metalwork, design precision, and mechanical engineering. Whether tuning up equipment in the shop or admiring performance race builds, Dominic stays connected to the mechanical world that inspired his early career.
